Ramadan action MoneyGram Online
Article 1: Organization
MoneyGram Payment Systems, Inc. 1550 Utica Avenue South, Suite 100 M/S MIN-8020, Minneapolis MN 55416, USA, is hosting a free game with a purchase requirement from 03/15/2022 to 04/30/2022 at 00:00am, inclusive.
MoneyGram will provide a prepaid bank card intended for people who have made at least one transaction to send money to specific destinations via their digital network in the following countries during the promotional period: France, Spain, Germany. The sender selected in one of these three countries (digital network and physical network) or in one of the other countries participating in the promotion only through MoneyGram’s physical network, will share an amount of 10,000 EURO (ten thousand euros) with the recipient of the transaction, thus benefiting from a prize package worth an amount of money equal to 5,000 EURO (five thousand euros).
The draw will take place at the end of the promotion, which ends at midnight on 04/30/2022. The draw will take place on 02.05.2022.
Article 2: Conditions for participants
This compulsory purchase game is only open to persons of legal age residing in France, Spain and Germany who have made a money transfer via MoneyGram’s digital and physical network during the promotional period, as well as persons residing in Cyprus and Greece who have made a money transfer via MoneyGram’s physical network during the promotional period, as follows:
From one of the three countries listed above: transactions participating in the draw are those sent to the following destinations: Spain: Morocco, Pakistan, India, Senegal, Mali and Bangladesh; France: Morocco, Tunisia, Afghanistan, Senegal, Mali, Ivory Coast and Bangladesh ;
Germany: Morocco, Turkey, Tunisia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia and Bangladesh.
Each country participating from Europe will be given an independent set of playing rules, based on the laws and regulations in force and registered locally in the usual way.
Excluded from the game are persons who do not meet the above conditions, as well as the employees of ” L’Organisatrice ” and all persons who have been directly or indirectly involved in the design, implementation or management of the game, as well as their spouses and their family members: direct ancestors and descendants or other relatives living or not living under the same roof with them.
” The organizer ” reserves the right to require from each participant proof of the above conditions.
Any person who fails or refuses to comply with these conditions will be excluded from the game and will not be entitled to their winnings if they win.
Participation in the game implies full acceptance of these rules.
Article 3: Participation modalities
Participants must previously answer the question posed by the ” Promoter ” in order to participate in the Contest with obligation to purchase. Participants must also have made a transaction to send money to and from the destinations mentioned in Article 2 during the Promotion Period. All transactions made during the Promotion Period will be automatically entered into the Sweepstakes.
Any participation made in contradiction with the provisions of the present rules will render the participation invalid. Any participant suspected of fraud may be excluded from the contest by the ” Organizer ” without having to justify it. Any identification or participation that is intentionally or unintentionally incomplete, incorrect, illegible or in a form other than that provided for in these rules will be considered invalid. The same sanction shall apply in case of multiple participation.
Article 4: Definitions of the lots
The prices are :
An amount of 10,000 EUR (ten thousand euros) will be played for France, Spain and Germany (digital network + physical network) and for one of the other countries participating in the promotion only through the physical MoneyGram network and will be split between the sender of a MoneyGram transfer and the recipient of the same transfer designated in one of the countries where the transactions qualify for the game, as shown in Article 2.
This amount of EUR 10,000 is divided as follows:
For the winner in France, Spain or Germany (digital network and physical network) or in one of the other countries participating in the promotion only through the physical network of MoneyGram ” referred to as the sender “: A single prepaid bank card (understood as prepaid bank card = a means of payment derived from the debit card and not linked to the bank account of the holder’s bank). This card is loaded with an amount of 5000 EURO (five thousand euros) as follows:
- A prepaid bank card with a credit of EUR 5000 for all transactions made from any of the three countries, including France (digital network and physical network), to the countries indicated in Article 2 or from any of the other countries participating in the promotion exclusively through MoneyGram’s physical network.

For the recipient of the MoneyGram shipment initiated by the sender of the winner selected from France, Spain and Germany (digital network + physical network) or from one of the other countries participating in the promotion only through the physical network of MoneyGram: A second package worth 5000 EUR (five thousand euros) will be given to the recipient of the ” drawn ” winner transaction, in the form of a prepaid card, ” if this payment method exists in the recipient’s country “, or in the form of gift vouchers that can be spent locally as follows:

- A prepaid bank card with a balance of 5000 EUR, if this payment method exists, or a gift voucher that can be issued according to local legal requirements.
Article 5: Determination of the winners
At the end of the promotion (as a reminder, the promotion ends at midnight on 04/30/2022), MoneyGram’s technical teams will extract on 05/02/2022 all the transactions carried out during the promotion period through the digital and physical networks of the sending countries (France, Spain, Germany, ) and draw the winners as follows:
- France (excluding Corsica and overseas territories), Spain, Germany, Greece and Cyprus: 1 winner
After the draw and since MoneyGram has the contact details of everyone who has made a transaction within its digital network, MoneyGram will contact the sender of the prize first by phone and then by email.
Once the sender of the prize has been identified and contacted, they must submit the recipient’s contact information so that it can be verified by MoneyGram’s technical teams to confirm the same recipient’s eligibility to win the EUR 5,000 given out for this purpose.
The sender must request the recipient to contact the MoneyGram team within seven days from the date of the announcement of the winner by the sender, in order to demonstrate his presence and, above all, to provide the information necessary for the delivery of the prize. Article 6: Announcement of the winners
The winner in one of the countries participating in the promotion will be contacted by telephone via the landline or cell phone number provided when the money was transferred.
The winner to whom the transaction is addressed, once identified, must contact MoneyGram through one of the contact details mentioned in Article 5 to declare his existence and provide his contact details. Upon receipt of this data, the winner will be contacted by MoneyGram to agree on the conditions for receiving the prize.
It is the sole and exclusive responsibility of the participants to provide correct contact details. The organizer cannot be held responsible if a participant is unable to receive their prize due to incorrect or missing information. In the event of a missing response and within 24 hours, another person will be drawn while supplies last.
Article 7: Modalities of the delivery of the prizes
Winners agree to accept the prizes as offered, without the possibility of exchange, in particular for cash, other goods or services of any kind, or transfer of the prize to a third person. The prizes can also not be offset.
Winners will receive their prizes in person or via their physical address provided to and confirmed by one of MoneyGram’s employees when they are announced as winners.
The ” Organizer ” reserves the right to replace the announced prizes with prizes of equal value in case of an event beyond its control, in particular related to its suppliers or unforeseen circumstances. The winner will be informed of any changes.
Article 8: Use of the personal data of the participants
The information of the participants will be registered and used by ” The Organizer ” to store their participation in the Contest and to enable the allocation of the prize.

Participants may object, on legitimate grounds, to the processing of their personal data provided in the context of this contest. They also have a right to object to the use of their data for commercial promotion purposes outside the participation in this Contest, which they may exercise from the moment of registration of their participation, by writing to the Organizer, whose address is mentioned in Article 1, or by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
In accordance with the law of 30 July 2018 and Regulation No. 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR), The Participant may exercise his/her rights of access, rectification, erasure of data, restriction of processing, the right to data portability, the right to object and the right to withdraw his/her consent by writing to ” The Organizer “, whose address is mentioned in Article 1 by email to email@example.com.
Article 9: Industrial and Intellectual Property
The reproduction, representation or use of all or part of the elements that make up the Game, including these Rules, is strictly prohibited. All trademarks, logos, texts, images, videos and other distinctive signs displayed on the Website, as well as on websites to which the Website provides hyperlinks, are the exclusive property of their owners and, as such, are protected by the provisions of intellectual property law, for the entire world. Their unauthorized reproduction constitutes counterfeiting, which is subject to criminal prosecution. Any unauthorized reproduction, in whole or in part, of these trademarks, logos and signs constitutes counterfeiting, which will be prosecuted. Participation in this game implies full acceptance of these rules by the participants.
Article 10: Responsibility
The ” Organizer ” cannot be held liable in case of force majeure or fortuitous event beyond its control.
The ” Organizer ” cannot be held responsible for delays, losses, thefts, damage to postal items or illegible stamps due to postal services. Nor can it be held liable and no legal action can be taken against it in the event of events having the character of force majeure (strikes, bad weather, etc.) which partially or totally deprive the participants of the possibility to participate in the game and/or deprive the winners of the possibility to receive their winnings.
The ” Organizer “, as well as its service providers and partners, cannot in any case be held responsible for any incidents that may occur during the use of the prizes by the recipients or their guests once the winners have taken possession of them.
Likewise, the ” Organizer ” and its service providers and partners cannot be held liable for the loss or theft of the prizes by the recipients once the winners have taken possession of them. Any additional costs necessary to take possession of the prizes will be borne by the winners, without the latter being able to claim any compensation from the ” Organizer ” or its service providers or partners.
Article 12: Disputes & Complaints
This Regulation is governed by Belgian law.
The ” Organizer ” reserves the right to decide definitively any difficulty that may arise in the interpretation or application of the present rules, with the understanding that one month after the end of the game no contestation will be allowed, in particular regarding the modalities of the game, the results, the winnings or their receipt. Except in the case of obvious errors, it is agreed that the information resulting from the game systems of ” The Organizer ” shall have probative value in all legal disputes, as far as the connecting elements and the electronic processing of said information related to the game are concerned.
Any complaint must be addressed to ” The Organizer ” within one month after the end of the game. No complaint will be accepted after this date. Participation in the game means that you fully accept these rules.
Article 13: Evidence agreement
Expressly agreed between the Participant and the ” Organizer “, the computer systems and files of the ” Organizer ” are solely authoritative.
The electronic registers kept in the computer systems of the ” Organizer ” under appropriate security and reliability conditions shall be considered as evidence of the relations and communications between the ” Organizer ” and the Participant.
It is consequently agreed that, except in the case of obvious errors, ” The Organizer ” may refer, in particular to prove acts, facts or omissions, to programs, data, files, records, operations and other elements (such as tracking reports or other reports) in electronic or electronic form or on data carriers created, received or kept directly or indirectly by ” The Organizer “, in particular in its computer systems.
Thus, the elements considered constitute evidence, and if presented as evidence by ” The Organizer ” in any litigious or other proceeding, they shall be admissible, valid and enforceable between the parties in the same manner, under the same conditions and with the same probative value as any document made, received or preserved in writing.

Privacy notice for participants in the Ramadan MoneyGram promotion

Participants’ data will be collected and used by MoneyGram to register their participation and enable the awarding of the prizes. The processing of personal data is based on:
- contractual necessity for the performance of a contract, rules of the sweepstakes Ramadan MoneyGram Promotion in which the data subject participates, communication and distribution of prizes to winners (Article 6.1.b of the GDPR);
If the participant is a MoneyGram customer:
- legitimate interest in advertising products and the MoneyGram brand (Article 6.1.f of the GDPR);
- Consent to marketing from MoneyGram (Article 6.1.a of the GDPR) – if the subscriber has consented to the marketing communication.

MoneyGram transfers Participant Data to the following countries for which there is no adequacy decision: (i) United States of America, (ii) Mexico, (iii) Indonesia, (iv) Saudi Arabia, (v) Shanghai, (vi) Brazil, (vii) Puerto Rico, (viii) Indonesia, (ix) Turkey, (x) Singapore, (xi) China, (xii) Philippines; (xii) Malaysia, (xiv) Ukraine, (xv) Dubai, (xvi) Morocco; (xvii) India; (xviii) South Africa; (xix) Nigeria; (xx) Australia; (xxi) United Arab Emirates.

Each participant has a right to:
- Right of access to personal data;
- Right to rectify personal data if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Right to restrict the processing of personal data if one or more of the conditions set out in Art. 16 GDPR are met;
- Right to erasure of personal data if one or more of the conditions in Art. 17 GDPR are met;

- Right to withdraw consent at any time;
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if participants believe that the processing of personal data violates applicable law.
